A 22-year-old youth suffocated in a lake on the edges of Hyderabad, while posturing for a video that he needed to transfer on TikTok, a short portable video application, the police said.

As indicated by the police, Narasimha of Sangareddy region in Telangana, visited his cousin Prashant's home at Dulapalli town of Qutbullapur obstruct on the edges of Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Them two went to the Tumar lake close by to take recordings on their mobiles, which they later needed to transfer on TikTok. They ventured into the water and began taking selfies while moving in the lake. Afterward, Prashant returned to the shore to take recordings of Narasimha moving in the water.

"Following a moment, Narasimha attempted to go somewhat more profound into the water, yet clearly didn't see a profound channel underneath the water. He slipped into the channel and couldn't turn out as he didn't know swimming," Pet Basheerabad police auditor M Mahesh said.

There were various individuals around the lake watching Narasimha suffocating. A few local people made an endeavor to bring him out, however did not succeed.

Following a grumbling from the nearby individuals, the police landed at the spot alongside expert swimmers, however they couldn't get into the lake since it was getting dim. They recovered the body on Wednesday morning.

The police assessor said they had held onto the recordings and enlisted an instance of death under suspicious conditions.
